Participation Points

Family Participation Points – 2011 / 12 Swim Season

The minimum number of points for this season will be set at 550 points for returning families and 300 points for new families. These points may be earned at COBRA functions and officiating at Away Swim Meets.

Fines

A fine of $2 per point will be assessed for families that fall short of their requirement. A fine of $50 will be assessed for each session not worked / no show for every mandatory meet.

3 Draws for Excess Points

For every 50 points earned over the annual requirement you will receive 1 ballot for a draw. Each draw will be for $500 to be credited to the family account for the following season. There will be 3 draws held.

Points are accumulated by volunteer activity / sessions and may vary based on function and level of participation. These may be adjusted at the Board‘s discretion. Points requirement will be split between short course (300 points) and long course (250 points). The ‘new family’ split is short (150 points) and long course (150 points). All families must participate in 50% of the scheduled sessions at every COBRA hosted meet.
